LabTech Touch…on Android?
Posted on February 16, 2016
If you’ve seen anything with our Touch client for LabTech, you know that it’s a Windows client. However, we’ve been doing some testing with RemoteApp and found that it actually works *really* well. This means that Android phones (with a big enough screen) and tablets can use the client just as easily as a Windows tablet. To use it, simply create a new RemoteApp and link it to explorer.exe. For command line arguments, use “http://squattingdog.net/touch/LabTech%20Touch.application”
What will happen is that Explorer will launch, and then it will call up Internet Explorer to launch the ClickOnce application. It’ll require installing initially, of course, but then you should have a working client!
We’d love your feedback on this idea and the client in general. Please feel free to comment here, email or use the Feedback feature within the client itself.
