NOTICE: Potentially malicious update is available in LT Patch Manager [Updated]

There is a Potentially malicious update available as a definition update and it shows up in the LT Patch Manager. If you’re using automatic patch approval, you’re clients are susceptible to having it installed.

I would strongly advise denying this patch for all of your agents to prevent any problems. The KB is KB3877432 and the title gives it away as a problem. Information is scarce, and there are more questions than answers right now, but it’s better to be safe and deny it than to risk having it installed.

Looks like the scare today was just a hiccup on Microsoft’s end. Yay, right?
Microsoft said a highly suspicious Windows update that was delivered to customers around the world was the result of a test that wasn’t correctly implemented.
